The Kerstetter Forest

The Kerstetter Forest project involves the conservation of a 149.2-acre parcel located in the towns of Lincoln and Bristol. The parcel includes over one mile of frontage on the New Haven River, and it connects the river with the Bristol Cliffs Wilderness Area. VFF’s Associate Ecologist Barb Otsuka and Conservation Forester Brendan Weiner completed a forest inventory and plan for the parcel. Vermont Family Forests continues to assist in securing the support of the towns of Bristol and Lincoln for the sale of the parcel to the U.S. Forest Service.
