VLT ESTATE PLANNING WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN
May 13, 10:00 am – 11:30 am
The Vermont Land Trust (VLT) is hosting this free webinar.
An estate includes everything you own: your home, your car, your accounts, your possessions. This webinar will help you identify what matters to you with an estate plan, and make sure your wishes are carried out after you’re gone.
VLT’s popular Women’s Estate Planning Workshop will be held virtually this spring, but our panelists will still walk you through the steps to confidently draft your plans.
This workshop can serve as:
• a starting point for your estate planning
• a continuing education course
• a way to get a second opinion about a current plan
• a chance to get free advice from skilled professionals
VLT’s expert panel will give examples, share stories, and answer questions—all with generous doses of humor.
VLT’s returning panelists Susan Fowler, a retired probate judge and vice president at Trust Company of Vermont, and Jeanne Blackmore, shareholder at Burlington-based law firm Gravel and Shea, will be joined this year by Kathleen Burns Kingsbury, an expert on the psychology of money and owner of KBK Wealth Connection. They will address questions such as: What is the very first step to getting my affairs in order? What happens if I don’t have a will? What are the tax implications of various approaches? How do I talk with my family about my wishes?
All are welcome to this free webinar. Please pre-register for access.
The Vermont Land Trust welcomes and affirms all people regardless of their age, culture, abilities, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, marital status, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
